Double Layer Greenhouse

Double Layer Greenhouse
commonly known as "greenhouse within a greenhouse", is characterized by a core structure of double-layer arch frames and double-layer plastic films, with a 30–50 cm static air insulation layer reserved between the two layers. It is mainly featured with strong thermal insulation, wind and snow resistance, and low energy consumption, making it suitable for off-season planting and seedling raising in high-cold areas northern regions.

Product Description

Core Structure

lDouble-layer Frame: It consists of two layers of hot-dip galvanized steel pipe arch frames, with a spacing of 30–50 cm between the inner and outer layers, forming an independent air insulation layer. There are two common construction methods: "double arches on the crossbeam" (does not occupy the lower space) and "inner arch under the crossbeam" (stronger snow resistance).

lDouble-layer Film:

Outer film: 12–15 thread PO long-life drip-free film, which is anti-aging, UV-resistant and high in light transmittance.

Inner film: 8–10 thread heat preservation and defogging film, which can reduce condensation and reduce the risk of crop diseases.

Reference Technical Parameters

lSpan: 8–12 m (solar greenhouse); 16–32 m (multi-span greenhouse)

lEave Height: 2.5–4.5 m

lArch Spacing: 0.8–1.2 m

lGap between Inner and Outer Arches: 30–50 cm

lApplicable Climate: -30℃~40℃, suitable for areas with strong winds, heavy snow and high humidity

Comparison with Single-Film Greenhouses

lThermal Insulation: Double-arch double-film greenhouses are 3–5℃ higher; single-film greenhouses have large temperature differences and are prone to frost damage at night.

lDisaster Resistance: Double-arch double-film greenhouses can resist level 12 winds and 30 cm snow cover; single-film greenhouses are prone to film lifting in strong winds and collapse in heavy snow.

lEnergy Consumption: Double-arch double-film greenhouses save more than 40% of heating costs; single-film greenhouses have high heating costs in winter.

lConstruction Cost: Double-arch double-film greenhouses are 20–30% higher; single-film greenhouses have low initial cost but high long-term operation costs.
